In 2003 I was contacted by email by a fellow genealogist to say she had spotted a family bible for sale on the eBay site and that she thought it could belong to our family. She had researched the names in the photos on the site and found them in my worldconnect project family tree. I could hardly believe my luck!

A week later the bible arrived and the inscriptions on the flyleaf helped to fill in gaps in my research. It was a terrific feeling to own the bible that had been in the family in London in 1850.

The Henry Pritchard who is named at the top of the right page is the brother of Joseph Pritchard who emigrated to Australia in 1839 and is my husband's 2nd great uncle..
