Lister Lane Cemetery Open Day

Saturday, 10 th September, 2005
Lister Lane Cemetery will be open again this year.
We had a tremendous time in 2004. Please visit us again this year. Further details to follow
The cemetery was opened in 1842 and many influential members of Halifax society are buried there, amongst them the Crossley family of Dean Clough and Jonas Dearnley Taylor, one of the founders of the Halifax Building Society. More importantly to most of us there are also the graves of thousands of ordinary people.
The Friends envisage that Lister Lane Cemetery will become a valued and integral part of the heritage of Halifax , to be cherished and enjoyed by future generations for its history, its wildlife, and the tranquillity which it offers in the heart of the town.
Visit our website, Friends of Lister Lane Cemetery
