Edmunds Family Research LinksVillage of Oxhill on the web The village in South Warwickshire where Richard (1822-1894) and Frederick Edmunds went to school c.1833. The site has a history chapter with a school section. The boarding school that Richard and Frederick attended was probably the one at Payn's House. We have a letter written to Richard at Oxhill from his younger brother Henry. Photos of the letter.
Helmdon Village Website This site has an excellent history section. An especially useful feature is the plan of the St.Mary Magdalene Parish Church yard and transcription of the grave inscriptions. A super site that was Village Website of the Year 2003.
Friends of Lister Lane Cemetery, Halifax A well maintained site of a Victorian cemetery where several of Mike's ancestors are buried.(Caroline Hatton, wife of the first Henry Edmunds and various Wayman ancestors). The site has been closed to new burials and is generally locked but is opened for various weekends during the year. A detailed plan and gravestone inscriptions are available at the Calderdale District Archives Office in Halifax.
Grave Relations A Family History Research service with a photographic service . They specialise in the 23 townships of Halifax but willing to cover the whole of West Yorkshire. I have used them a few times and completely happy with the service given
Northants1841 website An fantastic genealogy resource for Northamptonshire maintained and produced by Alan Clarke. Well worth a visit!
Astwell Mill, B and B A well run and friendly bed and breakfast establishment across the field from Astwell Castle and near to Helmdon, Plumpton and Wappenham, Northamptonshire.
